Also known as Ping-Pong, Table Tennis originated in England in the late 1800’s. The game evolved over the next several decades with the paddles and balls becoming more refined, making the sport “slower.” It became an Olympic sport in 1988. Table tennis paddles are made of wood covered in rubber on one or two sides.
